Pathways to Openness in Networked Learning: The Case of Open Data – Presented at the Networkerd Learning Conference 2018
Workshop Presentation and Resources Open Science is an approach promoted by the European Commission that has been developing internationally for about ten years. In the field of research on NWL, however, the difficulties for opening up research have led to intrinsic, ongoing debates. A subtle aspect of this situation relates the poor appropriation and utilisation of scientific research products in the pedagogical field by potential users (stakeholders in the education and training system).

Workshop Presentation & Resources An important challenge for the societies to mine the treasure of open data, in a context of Open Education, regards the analytical basis and frameworks for practice that support mainstreaming. The workshop target are not only researchers but also practitioners interested on understanding the concept of open data connected to lifelong learning, as well as designing educational interventions adopting Open Data.
